Kagurazaka

Kagurazaka is located in the middle of Tokyo and it has old houses and narrow alleys and stone steps. It retained much of its old-town charm.

At one time, there were many of geisha houses in this town but today there is few houses only.

Kagurazaka is the name of a long slope and now refers to the area around the slope.

During the Taisho period, there ware many houses for Geisha in  the area. Some of that atmosphere remains now.
